Parkhurst provides high-quality dining services to Philadelphia University, ensuring that the campus community has access to great variety of meals cooked daily from fresh local farmers' produce.

In addition to the benefits of fresher food, Parkhurst implemented several sustainability initiatives which help to reduce the distance food travels from harvest to table, thereby decreasing air pollution, water pollution, traffic congestion and the need for oil. Also, supporting local farmers helps to preserve open space and increase food security in the region by keeping a greater percentage of food dollars within local economies. To learn more about sustainability in Parkhurst please read about the FarmSource and EcoSteps programs.
