Title of Position:
Academic Events Coordinator, East Falls


Academic Affairs

Three to five years of experience in event management, conferences/events  and/or hospitality. Experience in higher education is preferred. Individual should have effective interpersonal, communications, analytical and resource management skills.

Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree


The individual is responsible for coordinating, arranging and supporting all stages of planning and execution of the East Falls campus Commencement ceremonies, regalia fair, student awards ceremony and Convocation. Duties include developing and overseeing the preparation of proposals, contracts, event diagrams, graduation eligibility lists, regalia for students, faculty and VIPs, marching order and printed/published event materials. Secures and coordinates staff volunteers and student workers. Responsible for event setups, timelines and other logistics and event protocols. Serves as primary point of contact for students, parents, faculty and other University offices. Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with University offices and non-University vendors. Provides exceptional customer service.

The position requires occasional nights and weekends. Travel between East Falls and Center City campuses for meetings is required.
