Faculty Position

Title of Position:
Adjunct Instructor,Textile Printing Technology

Part-time, one-semester contract

School of Design and Engineering

Successful candidates will have an excellent understanding of creative textile design and will be qualified to teach the courses as outlined below. Each position requires exceptional communication skills and experience providing design critiques. Industry experience that includes creative-concept development through product-development is preferred. Experience teaching at the university-level is preferred.

Education Required:
A master’s degree or five or more years of experience in the textile design industry is required.

This faculty member will teach undergraduate students in both classroom and laboratory settings: printed textile coloration chemistry and mechanical methods including fabric preparation for printing, strike-off, block printing, engraved roller printing, table screen printing, automatic flatbed screen printing, rotary screen printing, engraving, specialist printing style, transfer printing, carpet printing, CAD in textile printing, digital printing, sustainability and environmental concerns.
