Coach Magee Continues to Rack Up the Wins Hall of Fame Coach Herb Magee wins 950th game PhilaU’s Hall of Fame men’s basketball coach Herb Magee became the first NCAA coach to win 950 games in a 67-63 triumph Jan. 12 over Chestnut Hill College. Coach Magee ended the season with 960 wins. The Rams went 19-10 in the 2012-13 season, earning a trip to the CACC championship game. The team placed three players on the All-CACC squad: senior guard Jim Connolly, freshman forward Peter Alexis and freshman guard Andre Gibbs. Connolly earned his third all-conference spot, finishing his PhilaU career with more than 1500 points. Gibbs was named CACC rookie of the year, and Alexis led PhilaU in scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage and blocks. 98 • Athletics
