Fashion Students Win Top Awards at Annual Red Dress Design Competition Three fashion designers won awards at the 2012 Red Dress Design Competition spon- sored by the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign. Sarah Fitzgerald won first place for her design. Katherine Korassani won second place and the people’s choice award, and Elizabeth Miranda was the third-place winner. The American Heart Association sponsors several events each year to promote heart health awareness for women. Philadelphia University is the only school to spon- sor a corresponding annual design competition open to junior and senior fashion de- sign majors.
