TD Bank Turns to PhilaU Students to Design Bank of the Future Architecture and interior design students incorporated their knowledge of sustain- ability to design TD Bank’s energy-efficient store for the year 2020. Students Patricia Oliveira ‘13, Ryan Sison ‘13 and Joanne Thieu ‘13 (pictured on previous page) won first place in the competition for their TD Touch design, which incorporated a touchscreen and electronic check-in system into their bank design, which would allow customers to quickly and easily identify their banking needs and be directed to the appropriate station. The inventive system would eliminate lines in TD’s stores and reinforce the brand’s tagline as “America’s Most Convenient Bank.” Industry Immersion
