Hundreds Volunteer during Fourth PhilaU Day of Service Hundreds of Philadelphia University students, faculty and staff volunteered for service projects throughout the community on the fourth annual Day of Service on Sept. 27. As part of the University-wide commitment to service, volunteers participated in nearly 100 projects on campus and off, helping to clean up parks, talking to high school students about college, making dresses for girls in Africa or teddy bears for hospital- ized children, painting a church, feeding the homeless and doing much more to serve others. Through these collaborative projects, students from all majors used their class- room experiences and individual talents to work together to serve the local community. 23
