Getting Started with Blackboard

A Blackboard course site is a helpful resource for both instructors and students. It can serve, in part, as a centralized resource from which course materials can be easily organized, stored and accessed. However, there are many other valuable elements to a Blackboard course site. Including:

- Social learning tools (Blogs, Discussion Boards, Wikis and Journals) and support for these tools within Blackboard Groups.
- Communication tools (Announcements, Class E-mail lists).
- Assessments (Assignments, Surveys, and Tests) and support for self and peer-assessment.
- Electronic grading and automatic grade calculation
- Evaluation of student performance including Early-Warning Alerts.

Please look at the following document, Click Here, which will help instructors get acquainted with the Blackboard 9.1 system and the course environment.
